TIJS VAN LIESHOUT
Tijs van Lieshout has a public and private background. He started as an officer in the Royal Army. After 20 years, he started working for the fire brigade for several years. He then worked for 9 years in consultancy and business services, mainly focusing on the security market. In addition, he spent some time as an interim director at safety regions and companies. Van Lieshout is now commander of the Amsterdam-Amstelland Fire Brigade and director of the Amsterdam-Amstelland Safety Region. He combines this with chairmanship of Brandweer Nederland and the Council of Commanders and Directors of Safety Regions.
